    FHBA Legislative Conference Recap

Each year, the Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA) hosts a Legislative Conference that brings together local home builder associations from across the state. The conference provides an opportunity to learn about current legislation impacting the building industry, participate in FHBA business meetings, and engage directly in the advocacy process.

This year, 11 members proudly represented the Lake-Sumter HBA, attending FHBA meetings including Presidents’ Council, Finance, and Board sessions. A key highlight of the conference was the opportunity to meet one-on-one with members of our local legislative delegation to discuss issues affecting our industry and our communities.

Our delegation met with Senator Keith Truenow and Representatives Richard Gentry, Nan Cobb, and Taylor Yarkosky, advocating on behalf of local builders and sharing insights on the challenges and opportunities facing the housing industry.

Participation in events like the FHBA Legislative Conference helps ensure the voices of our members are heard at the state level and reinforces the important role the HBA plays in shaping policies that impact housing in Florida.
