December Banquet Recap: Celebrating Leadership, Service, and the Year Ahead

Our December GMM & Board Installation Banquet at the Country Club of Mount Dora was truly a night to remember. Members, sponsors, and leaders gathered for an evening of appreciation, reflection, and excitement as we celebrated the past year and officially welcomed new leadership for the year ahead.

The evening gave us an opportunity to look back on a successful year for the HBA of Lake–Sumter — recognizing the dedication of our corporate sponsors, board members, committee members, volunteers, and the many members who continue to strengthen our association.

Honoring Excellence in 2025

We were proud to recognize the following award recipients for their outstanding contributions:

• 2025 Associate of the Year: Christie Folker – Premier Pool Contractor

• 2025 Builder of the Year: Nick Smith – Trident Construction

• 2025 Volunteer of the Year: Leesa Hodges – 45 Property Group

• Honorary Member: George Hansford, recognized for his years of service and dedication to the HBA of Lake–Sumter

In addition, special recognition plaques were presented to Nick Smith for his leadership and service as 2025 Board President, and to Justin Shelton for his commitment as 2025 Associate Vice President. Their time, guidance, and dedication have made a lasting impact on our association.
